Kyungsun (sunny) Kim is an Abstraction artist.
She was born in South Korea, She graduated with a Master's in Fine Arts from Tama art University in Japan, where she developed a particular interested in woodblock printmaking and displayed her art work at many exhibitions in Japan. Later, She moved to Canada, where she took a leave from her art career to spend time with her family. Afterward, she resumed exhibiting her art work. Nature and the energy it provides have always been main themes in her work. Despite her long break, she has consistently reflected on the image of recovery and the invisible forms of positivity found in nature. She believes that spending time in nature is essential to her creative process. Her work seeks to capture the intangible energy of nature from her unique perspective. The tranquility, healing power, and life force of the natural world renew her energy and inspire her to explore the stories and ideas that fill her imagination. She uses a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, and woodblock prints, to bring her stories to life on paper.
